Garlic Herbed Grilled Tuna Steaks

Delicious and healthy fresh tuna steaks marinated

in a garlic and herbed lemon sauce.

  • 2 T/s lemon juice
  • 1 T/s olive oil
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced

  • 2 t/s minces fresh thyme OR ½ t/s dried thyme

  • 4 yellowfin tuna steaks

  • ¼ t/s salt

  • ¼ t/s pepper

  • In a large resealable plastic bag, combine the lemon juice, oil, garlic and thyme. Add the tuna, seal bag and turn to coat. Refrigerate for up to 30 min, turning occasionally.
  • Remove yellowfin tuna from bag, sprinkle with salt and pepper. Drain and discard marinated. Moisten a paper towel with cooking oil; using long-handles tongs, lightly coat the grill rack.
  • Grill yellowfin tuna, covered, over medium-hot heat or broil 4min in. From the heat for 3-4 minutes on each side for medium-rare or until slightly pink in the centre.
